The objective

What I am attempting to do on this site is to provide information and guidance on completing repairs on vinyl windows. I have serviced vinyl windows for several years and the majority of the repairs can be done by the Homeowner. Most manufacturers have a parts warranty but the labor is extra. In providing various simple fixes here, I hope to save you money that you would have had to give to a service person. I primarily work on windows from Simonton windows, so most of my examples will be on their units. Most manufacturers have similar parts, so many of the fixes can be applied to them also.
